2-Day Zhengzhou Private Tour: Yellow River, Erqi Square, Shaolin Temple, Longmen Grottoes

Your guide and driver will meet you in your hotel's lobby in Zhengzhou at 8:30am. Heading directly to Yellow River Scenic Area which takes about 40 minutes.  Known as the mother river by all the Chinese people, the 5,464-kilometer (about 3,395 miles) Yellow River is the second longest in China after the Yangtze River. Spend some time in the park with your guide, your tour guide will explain the related histories and stories while walking. Then, take the air cushion ship to have a fun experience on the Yellow River.

Stop at a local restaurant for an authentic Henan Cuisine. Henan cuisine, also known as Yu cuisine, has the accolade of being one of China's most traditional and oldest cooking styles. You will try few typical Henan dishes companied with noodle soup or bread.

Next, heading to Erqi Square which is the busiest commercial area in Zhengzhou and even Henan Province. There are many department stores and restaurants. Nearby, enjoy great photo ops at a Erqi Tower which commemorates a strike that happened on Feb.7th, 1923. Get you know its background and history from your tour guide while walking.  Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Zhengzhou (Booked on your own).

Your tour guide will pick you up at  8:00am, heading directly to Shaolin Temple, which will takes about 1.5 hours. Your tour guide will explain the relate histories and stories along the way, feel free to ask any questions if you have! Shaolin Temple is famous for Chinese Kungfu. Accompanied by your private tour guide, you will witness the real Kungfu performed by Shaolin monks. Stroll around the courtyards and halls, get you know the temple's histories, related stories, its culture, people and soul.

Afterwards, you will explore the Pagoda Forest which is a concentration of tomb pagodas for eminent monks and abbots of the temple.

Enjoy a delicious lunch in the local restaurant, then heading to Longmen Grottoes (Approx. 1.5 hours drive).  As the UNESCO Site, The Longmen Grottoes comprise more than 2,300 caves and niches carved into the steep limestone cliffs over a 1km long stretch. It is the largest and most impressive collection of Chinese art of the late Northern Wei and Tang Dynasties (316-907). Accompanied  by your knowledgable tour guide, you will get to know its colorful history, then you will take the boat cruise to enjoy the grottoes in a different perspective. After your Longmen Grottoes tour finished,  you can choose to end your tour in Luoyang, or be transferred back to your hotel in Zhengzhou.
