After lunch, we will take the sightseeing bus to the fascinating Yading Scenic Area The scenic area is centered on the three snow-capped peaks of Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong and Xianuoduoji, which are in the shape of the Chinese character"品".The Tibetan name of the three peaks means "Three Lord Snow Mountains", which is the place where all living beings make pilgrimages and accumulate virtues. Cross Niulang Mountain and overlookXiannaini Mountain from the viewing platform. Pass Yading Village and get off the sightseeing bus after arriving at Zhaguanbeng. Then we will hike to Chonggu Temple. The natural Chonggu lawn composed of grasslands, forests, streams and Mani piles will make you truly feel the majesty and beauty of nature. After leaving Batang, you will enter the canyon and cross the Jinsha River. Zhubalong is the dividing line between Sichuan and Tibet on the Sichuan-Tibet South Highway, and you will officially enter the Tibet Autonomous Region. We will take a rest in Litang and set off to Mangkam in the afternoon to meet the next challenge. Surrounded by mountains, the sea-like grassland is lush and green. This is the Maoya Grassland. In summer, under the clear blue sky, there are herds of cattle and sheep, green grass, and blooming wildflowers. You can roll around and smell the fragrance of flowers. In autumn, the sky is clear, the clouds are white, and the grass is golden. In winter, it is covered with snow and the plains are waxy. The change of seasons gives the prairie endless charm and grace. This is the Maoya Grassland in Litang--"China Geography" magazine once rated it as one of the 6 most beautiful grasslands in China.

Mangkang is the first county town in Tibet on this trip, with an altitude of 3,780 meters. The Jinsha River, Lancang River and Nujiang River, which originate from the Tanggula Mountains, flow in parallel within a few hundred kilometres in this area, forming the "three rivers sandwiched between two walls"Sanjiang area. The area is full of mountains and canyons, with complex terrain.The Sichuan-Tibet South Highwayand the Yunnan-Tibet Highway meet in Mangkang.

Starting from Mangkang, we will first cross the winding Lancang River and climb over the highest mountain pass on the Sichuan-Tibet Highway, Dongda Mountain, which is over 5.008 meters above sea level. From the snow-capped mountain pass, the Sichuan-Tibet Highway and the Lancang River are like two bright ribbons, appearing and disappearing among the mountains and valleys.

Ranwu Lake is a famous plateau glacier lake. The lakeside is surrounded by dense primaeval forests. The blue lake water reflects the forest and is crystal clear. There are flocks of water birds on the lake, creating a fairyland scene. The lake water is as calm as a mirror, reflecting the crystal glaciers and snow-capped mountains by the lake, like a bride waiting to be married, which is breathtaking. Zamu Town, the beautiful town of Bomi County surrounded by snow-capped mountains and forests, has fresh air and is known as the "Little Switzerland of Tibet".

Midui Glacier is located at the junction of Nyainqentanglha Mountain and Boshula Mountain in southeastem Tibet. It is the distribution area of the largest monsoon marine glacier in my country.

During the rainy season, mountain torrents and mudslides often cause landslides on the 15-kilometer section from Tongmai to Pailong, which interrupts the highway. The famous 102 landslide section is located in this section. From Zamu Town, Bomi County, we set out through the primeval forest to Tongmai, the last natural barrier on the Sichuan-Tibet Highway. Pailong Menba National Township is an important entrance to the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon. From this township, go south along the Parong Zangbo River to the top of the Grand Canyon, which is the most adventurous route.

After passing Pailong, the road conditions improve. We will pass through the dense forest-like Lulang, and cross the snow-covered,cloud-shrouded Sejila Mountain, which is 4,702 meters above sea level. The mountain is famous for its Dupeng flower sea in spring and summer. At the same time, this mountain is also one of the best places to view Mount Namjagbarwa. After crossing Sejila Mountain, we will go downhill to Linzhi County in the lower valley of theNiyang River.19 kilometers away from Bayi Town, the capital of Nyingchi Prefecture, which is 2,400 meters above sea level, the road is paved with two rows of cypress trees. Along the way, you can admire the giant cypress forest in Bajie Township, which is 4 kilometers away from Bayi Town and is known as the“King of Cypress in the World”.

Along the way, we can enjoy the beautiful Niyang River. Today's full-day journey is about 400 kilometers. It is the best section of National Highway 318, with beautiful scenery and a pleasant climate. Nyingchi is surrounded by dense forests and is the largest forest area in my country. The air contains a high amount of oxygen. The Yarlung Zangbo River can be seen along the way, and then we will go to Basomtso. Basomtso Lake is surrounded by mountains, with a mild climate and an average altitude of 4,000 meters. The mountains are covered with snow, and the vegetation is dense at the foot of the mountains. The shape of the lake is like a crescent moon embedded in the alpine valley. The lake water is clear and the surrounding snow-capped mountains are reflected in it. After that, we will dive to Nyingchi, which means "the throne of the sun" in Tibetan. Along the way, we can once again enjoy the scenery of the Niyang River Valley, and the primaeval forest, and feel the real scenery.

In the morning, visit the Potala Palace, the highest ancient palace-style building complex in the world, the residence of the Dalai Lama and the centre of political and religious power in Tibet. It houses the golden stupa that houses the real bodies of successive Dalai Lamas and a large number of precious murals, thangkas, and Buddha statues, which is a concentrated embodiment of Tibetan culture.

After lunch, visit the Jokhang Temple, the earliest Buddhist temple built during the Tubo Dynasty. The temple enshrines a twelve-year-old life-size statue of Sakyamuni, who accompanied Princess Wencheng to Tibet. It is the most sacred and spiritual Buddha statue in the hearts of Tibetan people.
