Midui Glacier is located in Yupug Township, Bomi County, and is one of the most important maritime glaciers in Tibet. The main peak of the glacier stands at an elevation of 6,800 meters, with a snow line at just 4,600 meters. The glacier is covered in snow year-round, creating a breathtaking and magical landscape. Due to the relatively warm temperature of the glacier's surface, it supports a variety of life forms, including ice worms, ice fleas, and other microorganisms. Influenced by the climate of the eastern section of the Himalayas, although Midui Glacier is situated at a latitude of 29°N, the temperature at the glacier's terminus is lower than that of glaciers on Bogda Peak, located at approximately 44 ° N. This is a unique phenomenon among modern glaciers in China.

Yaowang Mountain means "mountain of the corner" in Tibetan, which means that Yaowang Mountain is located at the corner of Red Mountain where the Potala Palace is located. At the end of the 17th century, in order to develop Tibetan medicine, Diba Sangye Gyatso built Menba Dratsang (medical institute) on Yaowang Mountain, and selected some lamas from various temples to study Tibetan medicine in the Dratsang. There is a statue of Medicine Buddha painted with sapphire in the Dratsang. Therefore, the Han people called this mountain "Yaowang Mountain". This medical school existed until 1959, also known as "Yaowang Mountain Lizhong Medical College".
