The Stone Forest or Shilin is a notable set of karst formations located in Shilin Yi Autonomous County, approximately 90 kilometres east of the provincial capital Kunming. The tall rocks seem to emanate from the ground in the manner of stalagmites, with many looking like petrified trees thereby creating the illusion of a forest made of stone. Since 2007, two parts of the site, the Naigu Stone Forest and Suogeyi Village, have been UNESCO World Heritage Sites as part of the South China Karst.

take an early morning bullet train to Dali which takes around 2 hours on the way. guide will pick you up at the railway station and escort you to the hotel in Dali Old Town.

In the afternoon, tour to the Erhai Lake you will find the crystal blue lake and the green mountain range nearby look alike a Chinese painting, go to Xizhou village and visit Bai minority village. Then take a look at the symbol of Dali, the Three Pagodas

After breakfast at hotel, drive about 3 hours to Lijiang. On the way, visit a local market, the tie-dying in Zhoucheng. Arrival in Lijiang Afternoon visit the Square Street of the Lijiang Old Town which is in the center of the town. Four streets stretch out in four directions and stores are standing one by one. You will find various kinds of goods or snacks on the street.

Ride a cable car up to a high grassland meadow, where you can witness the 13 peaks lively in distance. As you descend the mountain, Every step will reveal a breath-taking view.

The village is noted for the Mural painted during the Ming Dynasty, blending with the artistic styles of the Naxi, Tibet and Bai minority.

From Lijiang, you’ll drive about 60KM to the First Bend on the Yangtze River with imposing gorge scenery

Visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge(Shangri-La section), the deepest gorge in the world.
