Why Travelers Love This
This tour will take you to the “Japan's No. 1 IMONI Festival," where you can eat imoni served dynamically in a large pot, a Guinness World Record, and spend a weekend enjoying the charms of Yamagata Prefecture in the Tohoku region. Outside of the festival, you can also visit a shrine in Yonezawa, a place associated with Uesugi Kenshin, one of Japan's most famous military commanders, and a winery in Yamagata Prefecture, which is famous for its fruit. Why not experience the harvest season of Japan in Yamagata? This tour is led by a national licensed guide interpreter. This itinerary is just a sample. We'd be more than happy to arrange the tour based on your requests. Please let us know your interests! We can accommodate dietary needs such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc. If you have dietary requirements. Please kindly indicate it to the special requirements at the time of booking.

The heavy equipment used to scoop up the imoni from the large pot is disassembled from all the working parts of the newly unloaded body arm, which has never been used before, and each part is cleaned with household detergent to clean off the oil and grease used in its manufacture. No need to worry about hygiene as butter is applied as a lubricant! At the Imoni Festival, you will not only eat imoni, but also enjoy various events such as Yamagata's traditional dance and food stall village, which will make the venue very crowded.
