In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel and be transferred to the Panda Breeding and Research Center, a dwelling home to over 100 giant pandas. We will arrive here at about 9:00 a.m. when most of them are active. It is a perfect time to observe their living habits when they do different things--eating, snoozing, tumbling and climbing trees. There are also panda kindergartens and nursery rooms, which you can pay a visit.

The People’s Park is a good choice for you to visit as it is an epitome of Chengdu’s laid-back atmosphere. Have your ears cleaned or take a neck massage as Chengdu people usually do. Sitting down on a cane chair and sipping the hot tea, you can choose to take a nap or watch local people indulging themselves in playing mahjong and having casual chats. In addition, you can also have a look of the “matchmaking fair”, where you will see some interesting scenes that parents are posting messages to look for a partner for their unmarried sons and daughters.

Make our way to Leshan Giant Buddha. Leshan Giant Buddha enjoys a total height of 71 meters and boasts the reputation of the “NO.1 Buddha under Heaven”. It is constructed to bless the boatmen and enjoys a history of over 1,300 years. Besides climbing to the mountain top to have a closer look of the Giant Buddha, you can also go on a cruise to catch a panoramic view of the majestic Buddha statue. Then, let’s enjoy a delicious meal in Leshang. Afterwards, we will show you around and you can experience the lifestyle of locals.

After visiting Buddha,we will drive 40 mins to Luocheng Ancient town . Take a walk around the town where traditional lifestyles still survived from the modernization. Along the way we visit traditional workshops such as blacksmith's shop, bamboo workshop, barber shop etc. Enjoy tea and chat with locals. After your sightseeing, you will be transferred back to Chengdu.
