Although several Temples of Literature can be found throughout Vietnam, the most prominent and famous is that situated in the city of Hanoi, which also functioned as Vietnam's first university. The temple was first constructed in 1070 under King Lý Nhân Tông and is dedicated to Confucius, sages and scholars. Arrival Hue arround 8:00 AM, Our guide take you to have breakfast before take a boat for a cruise on the gentle Huong River. Visit Thien Mu pagoda, built in 1601 on the order of the first Nguyen lords, Nguyen Hoang, who at that time was the governor of Hue. Continue to a quiet Thuy Bieu village – 6.5 km from the city centre – a laidback village famous for growing the Thanh Tra fruit (a kind of small pomelo), visit many garden houses, a unique feature of Hue countryside, and enjoy a nice walking and biking around the village. Visit an old communal house, pass by several ancient ancestral temples and communicate with local people. Visit an incense making family and discover the daily life of local people while they are working strenuously with joy and enthusiasm. You may also join their activities: gardening, talking and drinking tea with them. Back to Thuy Bieu restaurant, relax by steeping your foot in medicinal herb water – a traditional therapeutic practice and enjoy excellent massage by blind people. Lunch at Thuy Bieu restaurant. After breakfast, transfer to Da Nang through Hai Van Pass and through the picturesque fishing village of Lang Co. When arriving in Da Nang, visit the Cham Museum and Marble Mountain, (Ngu Hanh Son) is about 8km southeast of Da Nang City. This is a cluster of five marble mountains lying close to the sea. That is why, it is dubbed Hon Non Nuoc, which means Mountain and Water in Vietnamese. Continue to the riverside town of Hoi An, an important trading port during the 17th and 18th centuries and officially listed as a World Heritage Site. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, walk around Hoi An ancient town and exploring its treasures : Quan Cong temple – the brave and loyal Chinese General. Phuc Kien pagoda, This is the most well-known assembly hall in the ancient town.Fukjianese were Chinese traders who first came to Hoi An in great number, at least in the XVII century. That was the reason why all above mentioned gods were worshipped in this pagoda after the collapse of the old pagoda. The Japanese Bridge, Hoi An’s signature landmark used widely as an emblem of the town. 7:30 am: You will be picked up at the rendezvous in Danang, and then we start Cham Island tour by departing for Cua Dai port in Hoian. On the way to Hoian, we will drop into the Non Nuoc Village at the foot of Marble Mountains, where you can admire many works of art made from stone and marble by the local artists. 9:00 am: Going to Cu Lao Cham, you will experience the feeling of riding on the surf waves by high speed canoes, heading to this beautiful island. 9:30 pm: Arriving the island, we will take you to visit the Marine park, Cham ancient well and Hai Tang pagoda. 11:00 pm: Swim and snorkel among the corals and marine life. 12:00 pm: You will enjoy a seafood lunch at a restaurant of Cham Island, take a rest or go to the beach. 1:00 pm: After saying good bye to Cham Island, we will go back to Hoian by the high speed canoes. Morning, Ho Chi Minh City tour. We start the trip by these famous places: Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office, followed by exploring the Reunification Palace, and the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum. (Drop you off at Ben Thanh Market for shopping if we have enough time). Afternoon, leave Ho Chi Minh for Cu Chi. Arrival at Cu Chi tunnel, before entering the tunnels visitors can watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed. You will spend the next hour exploring the tunnels. Afterwards, enjoy tea, cassava (guerrilla’s food during the war). Located 60km from Ho Chi Minh City, Cu Chi is now a popular spot for both Vietnamese & foreign tourists – the network of over 200km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the War. In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities including numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers & kitchens. Today, ducks and water buffalos happily co-exist in the rivers along the side of the road. However, the peaceful rural rice paddy scenery belies the area’s violent history. Visitors will find it hard to imagine the destruction, damage & defoliation over this whole area, caused by bombing and mines. There is plenty of evidence of the fierce battle that took place here during the 1960s when Cu Chi was a “Free Target Zone”. Go back to the city. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
