Tian'anmen square is the world’s largest public square, it is the home to the National Museum of China, the mausoleum of Mao Zedong and the great Monument to the Peoples’ Heroes. Afterwards, you will stop at the Beijing Bell and Drum Towers, go up to the tower to watch the drum beaten performance, then stroll along the Hutong allays in this area to check out the locals living life. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.

The driver and tour guide will meet you at your hotel lobby at 8:30am, today your exploration begins with the Temple of Heaven, once visited by the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual prayer ceremonies. Follow your tour guide to stroll around the park to check out the local retired peoples daily life in the park, and get to know the histories and stories about the temple.

If you want to purchase some souvenirs, you will stop at the Silk or Pearl market for some free time shopping, your tour guide will teach you how to negotiate price.

After lunch in the local restaurant, heading to the Summer Palace. The Summer Palace in Beijing – first built in 1750, largely destroyed in the war of 1860 and restored on its original foundations in 1886 – is a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design. The natural landscape of hills and open water is combined with artificial features such as pavilions, halls, palaces, temples and bridges to form a harmonious ensemble of outstanding aesthetic value.The Summer Palace combined political and administrative, residential, spiritual, and recreational functions within a landscape of lakes and mountains, in accordance with the Chinese philosophy of balancing the works of man with nature.
