The house is also a good example of the type of houses in the early 1900's. Vilakazi street is the hub of Soweto and often there is music and dancing in the streets. Constitutional Hill is where we find our Constitution Court the highest court in South Africa. It is also the venue for the Johannesburg Fort and Prison where many political prisoners where kept during the apartheid era. The prison and for have been converted into very interesting museums

The Sterkfontein caves are closed but we have replaced this venue with the very popular Maropeng Museum. The museum is also owned by the Witwatersrand University WITS. it is an educational museum on the Development Of Mankind and includes information on the Cradle of Human Mankind and Fossils. Mrs Pltez and Lucy have prominent displays and interesting facts. There is many artifacts and interesting presentations on the human race, animals and plants over millions of years. We start off with a drum routine that teaches you how to play that African drums. We then enjoy a movie giving you the history of the Africans in South Africa.
