15 Days Johannesburg to Cape Town & Garden Route

We depart from Johannesburg. First we visit the Nelson Mandela House Museum in Soweto. The Nelson Mandela National Museum, commonly referred to as Mandela House, is the house on Vilakazi Street, Orlando West, Soweto, South Africa, where Nelson Mandela lived from 1946 to 1962. It is located at number 8115, at the corner of Vilakazi and Ngakane streets, a short distance up the road from Tutu House, the home of Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu.

From the Mandela House, we start our journey to Kruger National Park. This is a 4 hour journey from Johannesburg. On arrival in Kruger National Park, we relax at the hotel, possibly go for a swim and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

On day 2 we spend most of the day on game drive in Kruger National Park. Kruger National Park is South Africa's most exciting safari destination. Steeped in legend and history, the iconic Kruger National Park is waiting for you to explore its vast landscapes and African wildlife. Take a journey of exploration to find Africa's Big 5.

As you glide along the water, pods of hippos wallow just meters away, while Nile crocodiles bask on the riverbanks and fish eagles soar overhead. From Natal Lion Park we proceed to Nelson Mandela Capture site in Howick. Nelson Mandela was arrested on 5 August 1962 outside Howick, Natal, South Africa. He spent the next 27 years of his life in prison. ​ The Nelson Mandela Capture Site commemorates this moment in history with a visitor museum centre and a world renowned sculpture.

A visit to Howick Falls, known locally as KwaNogqaza or “Place of the Tall One,” reveals a spectacular 95-meter waterfall plunging into a deep pool below. We depart from Knysna and head off to Cape Agulhas. We do a tour of Cape Agulhas. A visit to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost point of Africa, is a journey to a place where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. The rugged coastline, historic lighthouse, and striking views of the open sea make it a unique and unforgettable destination. First we do a tour of this beautiful coastal town in the morning. We visit the old habour and some of the beautiful white sand beaches. A visit to Hermanus offers breathtaking coastal scenery and the chance to connect with nature along the famous Cliff Path. This scenic walkway stretches along dramatic cliffs overlooking the ocean, providing stunning vistas, opportunities for whale watching in season, and access to hidden coves and beaches. Whether strolling leisurely or pausing to photograph the crashing waves and rugged coastline, the Hermanus Cliff Walk is a memorable way to experience the charm and natural beauty of this coastal town.

From Hermanus we head off to Benguela Cove wine Estate for some wine tasting. Benguela Cove Wine Estate is a stunning vineyard located in the Walker Bay region of South Africa. The estate is situated on the banks of the Bot River Lagoon and boasts breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and ocean. The vineyard is known for its premium wines, which are produced using sustainable and environmentally friendly methods. The estate has a wide range of varietals, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Shiraz.

From Benguela Cove Wine Estate we head off to Betty's Bay where see the endengered African Penguins in their natural habitat.

From Betty's Bay we travel on the scenic Whale Coast Route as we head to Cape Town to end our 15 day tour.
