Additional optional shore excursions--The Fengdu Ghost City which has a 1,900 year old site is interesting and meaningful to know Chinese culture, telling the traditional Chinese belief of that those pure spirits would be rewarded and those sinful ones would be subject to severe punishments with many statues and scenes in the traditional architectures.

Today's additional optional shore excursion (available in the morning, river conditions permitting) to White Emperor City an ancient city overlooking the western end of Qutang Gorge and also known as the “City of Poems”

This day the Yangtze River Cruise Ship will first enter Qutang Gorge, the beginning passage of the Three Gorges, which is the shortest but the grandest one. Later, we will pass the Wu Gorge with famous lofty and misty peaks on two sides. It is the largest and the longest gorge along the way. This gorge is full of craggy grotesque rocks, and the entire pass looks like a winding natural gallery.

Afterwards, you will disembark at Badong for an excursion to the Shennong Stream, which originates from the south slope of Shennongjia. You will take a pea boat ride drifting along the crystal stream to have a close look at mossy rocks, verdant plants, plank roads, ancient hanging coffins and precious animals. Moreover, the unique songs of the local Tujia people will leave you a deep impression. After that, you will go back to the ship and continue the cruise to the west section of Xiling Gorge, which is famous for torrential water.

After an early breakfast, Disembark at Maoping pier of Yichang. Join the Shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam,which is the largest water power project in the world. (Exclude the golf car of CNY10/pp while tours.) Complete the trip by shuttle bus service from the Dam bus station to downtown of Yichang for your onward Journey around 12:30pm. Today's optional experience is the Ship Lift(CNY295/pp).

Your driver will sign your name and meet you at the Yichang Sanxia tourist center and takes you to Yichang east train station and take the train to Chongqing( D3057 14:37-19:23). When you arriving in Chongqing then you can take a taxi to the airport/hotel. The tour ends.
