It is a famous tourism destination in Hunan province which was officially recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1992. The pillar-like formation seen through the park are the result of many years of erosion. With over 90% forest coverage, the scenic area comprises Yuanjiajie, Yangjiajie, Jinbian Stream and Wulongzhai. The minority culture and folklores are represented in nearby villages and towns, inhabited by Tujia, Bai, Miao and Hui people, making worthwhile side trips.

Bailong Elevator is the highest and fastest sightseeing elevator in the world and provides a spectacular view of the sandstone peak forest. It has a height of 326 meters and can carry 3,000 people an hour in the three transparent elevators. It only takes1.5mins to travel to the top of the mountain.

As one of the most popular attractions inside the park, Yuanjiajie is praised to be the real " Pandora World". During the exciting hike, get a good preparation to have an enviable look at the South Sky Pillar of around 150 meters high, the authentic prototype inspiring the Avatar Hallelujah Mountain; enjoy the best scenery at Enchanting Platform with tens and hundreds of beautiful stone peaks similar to a lot of nutritious bamboo shoots towering from the ground. This mountain provids panoramic vistas of the stunning Zhangjiajie National Park.

Hop on a shuttle bus from Yuanjiajie to Tianzi Mountain ( about 35 minutes driving ), Tianzi Mountain is is known for 4 natural spectacles--the clouds of mist that circle the peaks of the mountain, the amazing views of the rising sun, the moonlit nights and snowcapped winter peaks. They include more than 80 natural platforms to take in the magnificent scenery. Take the cable to Tianzi mountain to enjoy the views upway and relax.

Today your tour begins with Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, as a recently-developed natural wonderland, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon incorporates mountains, streams, caves, cliffs and forest, it has many beautiful little attractions, such as the Bandit Cave, One Line Sky, Chuangwang Pavilion, Rotten Ship Rock, Butterfly Spring Waterfall, and Tianhe River Sightseeing Deck...To have a hiking in the valley is a cool thing.

Located in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, Glass Bridge is the highest and longest transparent glass bridge in the world. With a length 430 meters and a width 6 meters, Grand Canyon Glass Bridge is 300 meters above the ground level and can bear 800 persons standing on it at the same time.

Continue to Yellow Dragon Cave in the afternoon, Yellow Dragon Cave is the biggest cave in Asia, just like an underground "magical palace", featuring a wide cave, deep and secluded underground rivers, hanging waterfalls and dense stone bamboo shoots, showing a style of its own.

Our last stop in Zhangjiajie is Tianmen Mountain, a huge and impressive mountain range rising up at the edge of Zhangjiajie City. Start by taking the longest cable car in the world to reach the soaring limestone cliffs of Tianmen Mountain before enjoying a short cliffside walk and finally descending to the day's highlight - Heaven's Gate, a huge doorway in the cliff face. You will also have a walking on the mountain plank road built along the face of cliffs, feel like walking in a fairy land when the mist is still heavy. 99 Bends Bus Road is another must see attraction when you are visiting this magnificent mountain.

Be transferred to Furong Town in the afternoon after the tour to Tianmen Mountain, it takes approximately 90 minutes by car, you will particularly enjoy the night lights of this beautiful ancient town. Under a starry sky, Furong Town at night is no longer just a historical site. It becomes a living painting, a poetic vision where the works of man and the grandeur of nature are harmoniously woven together by the magic of light. Check out the hotel in the morning, you will spend 1-2 hours exploring this ancient town, Furong Ancient Town, also known as Hibiscus Town, is a 2,000‑year‑old riverside ancient town in Xiangxi, Hunan Province. Nestled between Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang Ancient Town, it is famous as the waterfall‑hanging ancient town. A 60‑meter‑high, 40‑meter‑wide large waterfall runs straight through the town center. At night, traditional Tujia stilt houses are lit up, and the illuminated waterfall creates a dreamlike scenery, which is extremely popular among European and American photographers and inbound tourists. It is a classic extension destination of Zhangjiajie travel routes, well preserved with local Tujia ethnic culture, ancient stone streets and cliff‑side traditional buildings.
