Private tour to Shaolin Monastery & Longmen Grottoes from Xi'an by Bullet Train

Your guide will meet you at 7:15 am in the hotel lobby and transfer to Xi'an North Railway Station to catch the high speed train to Luoyang (approximately 1.5 hours). Upon arrival you will be transferred to Shaolin Monastery. Shaolin Monastery and its Pagoda Forest were inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010 as part of the "Historic Monuments of Dengfeng. Enjoy the martial arts practice, seeing the little kids playing Kong Fu.

This afternoon, we will visit the World Heritage Longmen Grottoes. It’s located about 12km south of Luoyang. The steep limestone cliffs extend for almost a mile and contain approximately 110,000 Buddhist stone statues, 60 stupas and 2,800 inscriptions carved on steles. Most of the carvings at the Longmen site date between the end of the 5th century and the middle of the 8th century. After the tour, transfer to Longmen train station and board on a bullet train back to Xi'an.
