The Xianggong Mountain Scenic Area is located within Xingping Town, Yangshuo County, Guilin, situated on the west bank of the Li River between the Yellow Cloth Shoal and Nine Horse Fresco Hill. The hike to the summit takes 20–30 minutes.The karst peaks on both banks reflect onto the river surface, forming the typical Guilin landscape: a picture scroll of 'orderly arranged peaks and a winding Li River.' On clear mornings after rain, a spectacular sea of clouds often appears. At sunrise, the sun's rays dye the river's surface a liquid gold, creating an ink-wash painting-like visual effect. Due to the rich variations in light and shadow, this location has become a hot spot for photography enthusiasts, and related works have won international photography awards.
