Affectionately called "the number one sight in Suzhou," Tiger Hill is a must-see landmark steeped in myth and history. It is the purported burial site of King He Lü of the Wu Kingdom (circa 500 BC), whose tomb, legend says, is protected by thousands of buried swords and a white tiger.

Our journey begins with what many scholars consider the pinnacle of small-scale garden design. Built in the 12th century, this garden is a masterpiece of illusion, creating a profound sense of space and serenity within a remarkably compact area. It exemplifies the Chinese philosophy of "seeing the large within the small."

Step aboard a traditional boat for a tranquil cruise on the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's longest artificial river. This engineering marvel was the vital artery of ancient China, transporting goods, ideas, and culture between north and south for centuries. This peaceful journey offers a unique, water-level perspective of old Suzhou.

We will end our day by stepping into a living painting at Shantang Street. This 1,200-year-old street, originally built by the famous poet Bai Juyi, runs alongside a canal and is lined with whitewashed houses, stone arch bridges, and traditional shops. As the evening lights begin to glow, the area transforms into a magical scene of old-world charm and lively local energy.
