Route 62 in South Africa is considered to be the longest wine route in the world. Traveling along the R62 Wine Route in South Africa is a fantastic way to explore some of the country's most picturesque landscapes and sample delicious wines. The R62 Wine Route runs through the Western Cape and is known for its charming towns, vineyards, and stunning scenery. From Worcester we pass through Robertson, Montagu, Barrydale, and Oudtshoorn amoung others. We make stops to taste wine along the way and will stop at one of these towns for lunch.

From Oudtshoorn we travel towards George passing the Outeniqua Pass on the way. The Outeniqua Pass is 13km long. From the Outeniqua Pass we drive pass George and reach Wilderness a short distance away. We do a brief tour of Wilderness. Wilderness might be a small village but the breath-taking scenery of forests, lakes, mountains and coastline makes it feel like an endless paradise, as it is renowned for its wide open beaches and beautiful lagoon system. Situated between George and Sedgefield, Wilderness has "that holiday feeling" all-year-round.
