Leh Palace – A historic 17th-century palace overlooking the town. Leh Palace, also known as Lachen Palkar Palace, is a former royal palace overlooking the city of Leh in Ladakh, India. It was constructed circa 1600 AD by Sengge Namgyal. The palace was abandoned when Dogra forces took control of Ladakh in the mid-19th century and forced the royal family to move to Stok Palace.

Leh Market – Explore local handicrafts and souvenirs. Leh Market is a vibrant, 15th-century bustling hub in the heart of Leh city, serving as a primary shopping and cultural destination. Visitors can find Pashmina shawls, Tibetan handicrafts, jewelry, and local dried fruits. Magnetic Hill in Ladakh, located 30km from Leh on the Leh-Kargil-Srinagar National Highway (NH1) at an altitude of 14,000 feet, is a famous tourist spot that creates an optical illusion where vehicles in neutral gear appear to move uphill against gravity. This "cyclops hill" or "gravity hill" is a popular attraction where surrounding landscape features make a slight downhill slope look like an upward incline.

Gurudwara Pathar Sahib – Built in 1517 to commemorate Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s visit to Ladakh. Gurudwara Pathar Sahib is a revered Sikh shrine located 25 km from Leh on the Leh-Kargil road, situated at an altitude of 12,000 feet. Built in 1517, it commemorates the visit of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism, to Ladakh. The shrine is maintained by the Indian Army and is famous for a large, sacred boulder (pathar) that holds the, legendarily, body-shaped impression of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and a demon's footprint.

Spituk Monastery – Famous for its ancient architecture and the temple of Goddess Kali Mata. Spituk Monastery, founded in the 11th century by Od-de and located 8 km from Leh, is a prominent Gelugpa (Yellow Hat) institution in Ladakh, home to roughly 100 monks. Situated on a hilltop overlooking the Indus River, it is famous for its panoramic views, ancient masks, Thangka paintings, and the annual Spituk Gustor Festival.

Hall of Fame – A museum built by the Indian Army in memory of soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Indo-Pak wars. The Hall of Fame in Leh is a significant museum and war memorial built by the Indian Army on the Leh-Kargil Road, honoring soldiers who died in Indo-Pak wars. It features exhibits on the Kargil War, Siachen Glacier, and local culture.

After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley (The Valley of Flowers) via Khardung La Pass (18,300 ft), one of the world’s highest motorable roads. Enjoy stunning panoramic views from the top of the pass overlooking the Indus Valley and endless mountain ranges. Descend towards Hunder, famous for its rolling sand dunes and Bactrian (double-humped) camels. You may also enjoy a camel safari (at own cost). Dinner and overnight stay at Nubra Valley.

Khardung La Pass (18,300 ft), one of the world’s highest motorable roads. Khardung La, located ~40 km from Leh at 17,582–18,379 ft, is a world-renowned, high-altitude motorable pass serving as the gateway to the Nubra and Shyok Valleys. Open year-round (best May–Sept), it offers breathtaking Himalayan views and connects to the historic Silk Route. Key requirements include an Inner Line Permit (ILP), careful 24-hour acclimatization in Leh, and precautions for thin air and harsh weather.

Diskit Gompa, located in Ladakh’s Nubra Valley near Leh, is the oldest and largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in the region, founded in the 14th century by Changzem Tserab Zangpo. It belongs to the Gelugpa (Yellow Hat) sect and is famous for its 106-foot Maitreya Buddha statue, which was inaugurated by the Dalai Lama in 2010.

Hunder Sand Dunes, located in Ladakh's Nubra Valley near Diskit (approx. 120 km from Leh), are a unique high-altitude cold desert at 10,000 ft, featuring white sand dunes against snow-capped Himalayan peaks. Renowned for double-humped Bactrian camels and ATV rides, this former Silk Route spot offers a stunning, serene landscape alongside the Shyok River.

After breakfast, drive towards Pangong Lake via the beautiful Shyok route, passing through Disket Monastery, Tangtse, and Spangmik. Enjoy the scenic drive along the Shyok River as it winds through dramatic valleys and mountain landscapes. Upon arrival, witness the mesmerizing blue waters of Pangong Lake (14,000 ft) and enjoy photography by the lakeside. Dinner and overnight stay in cottages/camps near Pangong Lake.
