9-Day Turkey: Istanbul, Gallipoli, Troy, Pergamon, Ephesus, Pamukkale, Capadocia

Upon your arrival to Istanbul, we will welcome and transfer you to your hotel. You may spend the rest of your day freely to relax. You will spend the night in Istanbul.

Following your breakfast, your guide will pick you from your hotel for a full day Istanbul City Tour. Highlights you will visit: Sultanahmet (Blue) Mosque, Hagia Sophia, The Hippodrome, Balat Colorful Houses, Iron Church and Bosphorus Boat tour. In the end, you will be accompanied back to your hotel. You will spend the night in Istanbul.

Around 6:30 AM in the morning, you will be picked up from the hotel by your guide for about 5-hour bus ride to Gallipoli. We will stop to have breakfast on the way optionally. As soon as you arrive, following your lunch in a traditional restaurant, the highlights will be: Brighton Beach, Beach Cemetery (John Simpson’s Grave), ANZAC Cove, Ari Burnu (First ANZAC landing place), Lone Pine Cemetery (Australian memorial), Johnston’s Jolly (walk in the ANZAC trenches), View of Shrapnel Valley, Turkish Memorial, The Nek and Walker´s Ridge, Chunuk Bair (main New Zealand memorial). In the end of your day, you will be taken to the ferry for Canakkale where you will spend your night.

After your breakfast and check out from your hotel, around 8:30 in the morning, you will be picked up from the hotel by your guide to visit ancient Troy city. You will be amazed with cheerfully influenced Trojan Horse and you to will find more than 10 antiquated urban areas constructed one on another, from 3500 BC, passing through Apollo Temple believed to be the place where Anthony met Cleopatra. We will visit Roman Theatre, Greco-Roman Senate building once hosted democracy deputies with its round shape. Following Troy, we will drive to Pergamum where you will have your lunch. Following your breakfast around 7:30AM, we will pick you up from your hotel to start your full day Pamukkale Hierapolis Tour. Deriving from springs in a cliff almost 200 m high overlooking the plain, calcite-laden waters have created at Pamukkale (Cotton Palace) an unreal landscape, made up of mineral forests, petrified waterfalls and a series of terraced basins. We will also visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hierapolis which is one of the sacred sites of Turkey, dates back thousands of years and also admire the white limestone terraces, known as travertine’s of Pamukkale. We will see Necropolis – a large burial site generally it was located outside the settlement including Sarcophagus of a general of Marcus Aurelius. You will a chance to swim in famous Cleopatra Swimming Pool. During your tour you will have lunch. You will spend the night in Kusadasi.

Right after your breakfast and check out from your hotel around 9AM, the full day Ephesus Tour will start. Highlights we will visit: Temple of Artemis -considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, Celcius Library – while most libraries serve only the function of archiving books and documents, this one served as the final resting place of Tiberius Julius Celsus Polemaeanus, in whose honor the library was built. Ephesus Ancient City with its marvelous highlights. House of Virgin Mary – is believed to be where she lived and died. Also, we will see old theatres, hammams, passing through harbour. In the end, you will be transferred to airplane terminal for an 80- min flight to Cappadocia. Upon your arrival to Cappadocia, we will welcome and transfer you to hotel in Cappadocia.

Following your breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel around 9:30 in the morning for a full day North Cappadocia Tour. Highlights you will visit: Goreme Open Air Museum consisting of five Byzantine Orthodox churches, Devrent Valley and Pasabag where you will see animal and fairy-tale like rock formations, the ancient towns of Urgup and Avanos famous for its red clay pottery. You will also have fun trying to make potteries after a small demonstration. In the end, you will be accompanied back to your hotel.

(Pre-sunrise you can enjoy the Hot Air Balloon Ride in Cappadocia today at an additional cost.) Following your breakfast, your Full Day South Cappadocia Tour will start. Highlights: Hiking in Red & Rose Valley, Cavusin Village, one of the oldest settlements in the region with its cave houses, Love Valley, Kaymakli Underground City, Pigeon Valley and Uchisar Castle. In the end, we will transfer you to Cappadocia Airport for your 60-min. flight for Istanbul. You will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel, upon your arrival. You will stay in Istanbul.
