Tips: Lhasa is 3,650 meters above sea level, the oxygen content is only 70% of the mainland. For the first 2 days most guests will have different degrees of plateau reaction. Yaowang Mountain means "mountain of the corner" in Tibetan, which refers to its location at the corner of the Red Mountain where the Potala Palace is located. At the end of the 17th century, in order to develop Tibetan medicine, Diba Sangye Gyatso built Menba Dratsang (medical institute) on Yaowang Mountain. He selected some lamas from various temples to study Tibetan medicine in the Dratsang. There is a statue of Medicine Buddha painted with sapphire in the Dratsang.
