Pre Rup Stop: 90 minutes - Admission excluded 4.3 (1,264) Pre Rup Pre Rup Hindu Temple was built as the state temple of Khmer King Rajendravarman and dedicated in 961 or early 962. It is a temple mountain constructed with a combination of brick, laterite, and sandstone. You will enjoy the stunning sunset at either Pre Rup or Bakheng Temple, depending on the time of year. Return to town in the late afternoon after a memorable day of exploration.

The East Mebon is a 10th Century temple at Angkor, Cambodia. Built during the reign of King Rajendravarman, it stands on what was an artificial island at the center of the now dry East Baray reservoir. The East Mebon was dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva and honors the parents of the king.

We begin with a pre-dawn departure (4.10 to 4.30 am depending on the time of year) from your hotel for sunrise outside Angkor Wat. Enter the great temple in darkness from the little-visited eastern side, and creep along hoary cloistered corridors past the longest stretch of bas-relief carvings in the world. Soak up the atmosphere of dawn at Angkor Wat, from the edge of one of the ancient library pools. We then explore the interior of the great temple, spending a thorough two hours discovering the corridors, central chambers and upper terraces of this truly great temple. Your expert local guide will decipher the myriad of stories behind the bas-relief carvings, and give you an insight into life during the height of the Khmer empire.
