It's worth to spend a couple of hours to visit the highlight of the Forbidden City. Note: Forbidden City is closed every monday, Summer Palace would be replaced.

In the morning, you need to get train station by yourself and take the bullet train to Beijing (prepaid train ticket for 30 minutes ride). tour guide and private car with driver will come to meet you at Beijing train station arrival exit. Summer Palace was originally a royal garden and a temporary dwelling palace for emperors of Qing Dynasty, Its predecessor was the Garden of Clear Ripples (Qingyiyuan) started in 1750 and burned down by the British and French allied troops in 1860.
