Your tour guide will greet you at your downtown Luoyang hotel lobby (or Luoyang Train Station) and take you directly to visit Shaolin Temple, a holy place for Buddhism and the origin place of Chinese Shaolin Kongfu. Situated in Songshan City, Shaolin Temple is the birthplace of Chan Buddhism and renowned worldwide for Shaolin Kung Fu. Founded in 495 AD, this ancient monastery features historic halls, a serene Pagoda Forest, and breathtaking mountain views. It remains an active spiritual center where monk warriors preserve centuries-old martial traditions. You will have chance to see a short Kongfu show performed by martial monks there.

Next you will drive to visit Longmen Grottoes which is one of the top 4 Buddhist grottoes in China. That treasure house of ancient stone-carving houses over 100000 stone statues with largest ones taller than 17 meters and smallest ones shorter than 2 centimeters.
