The shrine is surrounded by ancient moss-covered trees, low wooden fences, and sacred stones believed to bring good fortune, especially in love and relationships. [★ Arashiyamai Course ★ ] Spanning the Katsura River, Togetsukyo Bridge ("Moon Crossing Bridge") is one of Arashiyama’s most famous landmarks. From the bridge, you can see boats gently floating down the river and possibly even spot monkeys from the nearby Iwatayama Monkey Park.
