A favorite location for films and commercials, it’s easy to see why. We’ll stop along the way to take in the sweeping vistas, breathe in the fresh ocean air, and capture unforgettable photos.

Stretching for 9 kilometers between the cliffs of Chapman’s Peak and the Kommetjie lighthouse, Noordhoek Beach is one of the most unspoiled and best-protected beaches on the Atlantic Cape coast. Its wide, windswept sands and surrounding wetlands have kept it free from urban development, preserving its wild, untouched beauty. A peaceful haven for nature lovers, it’s perfect for a scenic walk, photography, or simply soaking in the serenity.

We’ll visit the memorial statue of Just Nuisance, a beloved Great Dane and the only dog ever officially enlisted in the Royal Navy. Stationed in Simon’s Town during World War II, he became a loyal companion to sailors and a local legend. Just Nuisance died at the age of seven and was buried with full military honors—a touching tribute to a truly unique naval “recruit".

Simon’s Town is a charming maritime village with old-world character, nestled on a steep slope right at the water’s edge. With its rich naval history and colorful architecture, it’s a delight to explore. We’ll stop at Jubilee Square in the heart of town—perfect for a stroll among local shops, cafés, and historic landmarks.

We’ll stop here to take in the maritime atmosphere and meet the famous Just Nuisance, whose statue stands proudly in the square—a tribute to the town’s most beloved four-legged sailor.

At the Shark Spotters lookout point in Muizenberg, we’ll stop to see how a spotter spends their day—keeping watch over the ocean from above. Shark Spotters is a non-profit, public benefit organization that provides a vital safety service to beachgoers. Their innovative approach to reducing encounters between surfers and white sharks has gained international recognition and plays a key role in marine conservation and public awareness.

As we leave Chapman’s Peak Drive, we’ll stop at the water’s edge in Hout Bay to admire one of Cape Town’s most beloved sculptures—the bronze leopard of Hout Bay. Perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea, this striking artwork is a tribute to the leopards that once roamed the surrounding mountains. It’s a hidden gem that deserves a spot on every Cape Town bucket list.

Hout Bay—affectionately known by locals as the “Republic of Hout Bay”—is a vibrant coastal town centered around a busy fishing harbor. Surrounded by mountains and sea, it blends natural beauty with a lively maritime atmosphere. Throughout the day, we’ll enjoy stunning views of Table Mountain from various angles—both from scenic viewpoints and as we drive. A large part of our journey takes us through the Cape Point section of Table Mountain National Park, a protected area rich in biodiversity, dramatic landscapes, and iconic coastal scenery. It’s a chance to experience the wilder side of Cape Town’s most famous natural landmark.

We’ll stop for lunch at Noordhoek Farm Village, a relaxed and welcoming spot known for its local charm and delicious South African cuisine. Set beneath the trees with views of the surrounding mountains, it’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a meal at one of the village’s popular restaurants.

We’ll pause along Old Boyes Drive for a panoramic view over False Bay and the colorful bathing boxes of Muizenberg Beach. This scenic lookout offers a perfect photo opportunity and a chance to take in the sweeping coastal landscape from above.
