Walk and take the funicular (at your own cost) up to South Africa's oldest lighthouse for a 360-degree view of the national park. There are 3 ways to get to the top. Along the coastline is a paved path with several long stone staircases. This route will give you the best views of the coastline. From the car park is a paved path all the way to the top. It is a steady climb and not very strenuous. For those who don't feel like hoofing all the way to the top, there is a funicular that will get you to the viewpoint. Here you will charter a shared trip to Robben Island museum where you will be met by a resident Tour Guide who will conduct the tour of the Island. (Please note that our tour guide/driver will not be joining you on the tour of the Robben Island museum.) The entire tour lasts 4 hours, the 30-minutes boat trip to go, the 30-minutes boat trip to return, and hotel drop-off. For part of the tour, you will be transported around the island by bus, before you visit the prison cell of Nelson Mandela and take The Long Walk to Freedom at the end of the tour.
