With convenient pickup from your Chengdu downtown hotel by local tour guide, you will firstly head to visit the Chengdu Giant Panda Research and Breeding Center, also known as Panda Base. An early start is recommended because the pandas are very active in the morning. There you will see lovely furry giant pandas of all ages eating and playing with each other. You might also have a chance to see the very cute baby pandas, as well as documents and pictures of how these little pink mouse-size things grow to giant white and black chubby pandas.

Then move on to Leshan with a delicious lunch at local restaurant. Continue sightseeing to the Leshan Giant Buddha, here you will take a boat to see the panoramic view of the Buddha. It was listed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996 together with Mount Emei. It is no doubt the largest cliff rock carving Maitreya Buddha statue in the world. The total height of the Buddha is 71 meters. Its head is 14.7 meters high and 10 meters wide and its ear only is 7 meters high. Its insteps can hold over a hundred people. Afterwards, enjoy relaxing transfer back to Chengdu and drop off at your hotel.
