Boulders Beach near Simon’s Town has a lot going for it: the ancient granite boulders protect it from the wind and large waves, making it an ideal swimming spot. The beach is always clean and safe, because it falls under the Table Mountain National Park Marine Protected Area. It is rarely crowded, and you will be delighted by the stunning rockpools. But the soft white sand and warm(ish) waters are not the only reasons why 60 000 visitors a year make their way along the coast, past Simon’s Town, to Boulders Beach. The local inhabitants—African penguins in their thousands—know how to pull the crowds.

Lunch at Two Oceans Restaurant After closing in February 2021, the iconic Two Oceans Restaurant at Cape Point has re-opened under new management and opened its doors and panoramic views for visitors. The Two Oceans Restaurant occupies an enviable position above False Bay at the southwestern tip of Africa. With only an hour’s scenic drive from the Mother City, dishes making a comeback such as the iconic Two Oceans seafood platter, and the classic favourites of grilled fish of the day, slow roasted pork belly and chocolate volcano dessert offers variety and flavours. The Two Oceans Restaurant prides itself on offering fine dining with world renowned views.

Sushi & Wine Tasting by the Sea Cape Point Vineyards is a family owned Vineyard that is uniquely located in Noordhoek on the Cape Peninsula, where it is set rather majestically against the slopes of the famous Chapman’s Peak mountain range and overlooks the nearby Atlantic Ocean – a mere 1,2 km’s away. Cape Point Vineyards newly renovated Tasting Room which overlooks lush picnic lawns and the Atlantic Ocean, now offers sushi as a perfect pairing to the Estate’s range of coastal Sauvignon Blanc driven wines.
