Step inside the Slave Lodge which explores the history of these unwilling immigrants and how they have contributed to the richness and diversity of South African history.

The main body of the museum faces onto a paved courtyard, connecting the magnificent Gardens Synagogue, the Old Synagogue, and the Albow Centre, including the Cape Town Holocaust Centre, and the Israel Abrahams hall. The South African Jewish Museum is a fitting tribute to a community who have been and continue to be at the epicentre of South Africa’s economic, political and cultural narrative.
