We will travel to the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island, where you will proceed directly to the boat departures line. Once you have boarded the shared boat, you will set sail on the open sea to Robben Island Museum. Upon your arrival, you will disembark the boat and be guided on a bus by a resident Robben Island Tour Guide for a tour of the island. The guide will provide live commentary about Robben Island and its history. The tour will culminate with a view of the prison cell where former President Nelson Mandela was held as a prisoner and an opportunity to take a walk in his historical footsteps on The Long March to Freedom. Once the tour of Robben Island has concluded, you will embark the boat for your return back to the V&A Waterfront. The entire tour duration including the boat trips is approximately 4-hours.

After your Robben Island experience, meet the guide upon disembarking from the boat and travel to the Boulders Penguins Colony through the M3. You may even be fortunate enough to be greeted by one of these enchanting sea creatures along the boardwalk.

Thereafter, we will proceed to the Cape of Good Hope. As we enter into the Cape of Good Hope's main gate, we will drive for a short distance before we see the two navigational beacons with crosses on top of each one: The Dias Cross and da Gama Cross. These monuments were reconstructed to commemorate Vasco da Gama and Bartolomeu Dias as explorers who were the first to reach the Cape. A visit to the Cape of Good Hope is not complete without a photo behind the Cape of Good Hope name board.

Most visitors at the Cape of Good Hope, take the option of a short hike to the Cape Point Lighthouse. However, you are welcome to take the Flying Dutchman Funicular to the lighthouse. Cape Point is the official meeting point of the two ocean currents. Baboons may seem cute, but we advise not to get too close to them as these are wild animals and can become dangerous.

As we leave Cape Point, we will travel through the M65 and pass by Noordhoek Village which is best for coffee stops however, due to time, may be closed. We will stop at the famous Chapmans Peak drive if it is operational. This definitely a photo stop and we advise guests to stay clear from the edges of drive especially in windy weather.
