We arrive in the Drakensberg where we book into our accommodation. Once we are settled its a short drive to the Drakensberg National Park. We plan a short hike to the Cascades. This is a short but fun hike. You get the chance depending on the height of the river to wade in the river and check out a small cave. If there is sufficient time we check out the Tiger Falls.

After our short hike its back to our accommodation. After a wash up join us for a Braai (barbeque) Dinner as we watch the sunset over the Drakensberg Mountains

Early morning wakeup, good breakfast, pack up and then a short drive to one of South Africa's best hikes. We start the hike at Thendele and its approximately 22 kilometers hike that takes 6-8 hours. This is an amazing hike in the Tugela Gorge that is situated in the famous Drakensberg Amphitheater. The gorge is the section below the Tugela Falls (the highest falls in the world) The river has cut out a deep ravine that has spectacular pools and mountain cut outs. I can never get enough of the aqua colour the river a pools display. Depending on your fitness and experience I will design the hike to suit you. At the end of the Gorge we take a short brake to have lunch and swim in the pools

After completing our hike we drive to Durban City (3 hours) for a night on the esplanade where you can dine at some of the famous restaurants the city has to offer.

We have a sleep in and after breakfast walk the Esplanade on The Durban Beach. After the walk we drive to Port Edward on the Wild Coast. The drive is 2,5 hours

On our arrival in Port Edward we will book into our accommodation. We explore Port Edward and visit the Wild Coast Casino and adventure center. Later we take a sunset cruise on the river and then its back to the hotel. Dinner - you can decide on the casino or a restaurant in town.

Early rise and after breakfast we start our 24k hike to Mtentu. We have the whole day to take a leisure hike along the beach to our overnight accommodation. On the way we will have a swim in the sea , do some fishing and generally enjoy the kilometers of beach where you might see nobody else the entire day. Depending on the time of the year you can spot whales , dolphins and the exciting tuna hunting. On our way we will also have lunch on the dunes. The hike is approximately 6 hours.

A rustic lodge on the Mtentu River will be our accommodation for 2 nights. The estuary is beautiful and we will paddle up to the waterfall where you can have a swim and relax

After a good breakfast we start our day with a hike to Mkambati, Mkambati / Strandloper Waterfall hike which goes into the reserve and is approximately 8km return. The Mkambati Strandlooper hike includes viewing a shipwreck and then the Mkambati falls which drop directly into the ocean. We will also visit a village and swim in the sea. There is often sightings of Whales and Dolphins. Lucht on the beach at the half way mark depending on fitness levels. This is a private tour so we design the routes to fit your fitness and experience

Depending on time we take a walk to the waterfall on the Mtentu River for an after non sunset and swim

After breakfast we pack up for our hike back to Port Edward. On the way back we go through the smallest red dessert in the world and explore behind the dunes. Lunch will be half way

After our hike from Mtentu book into our accommodation . We have dinner and an early night for our long drive back to Johannesburg the next day

after breakfast its an 8 hour drive back to Johannesburg where our Wild Coast /Drakensberg tour ends
