This privately designed tour will start with your driver picking you up from your hotel at 9:00 in the morning. The guide will describe the tour plan in detail. Your first stop will be at Kandariya Mahadeo, the Shiva temple in the Western Group. It is the largest temple amongst all other temples here, standing 31m high has a Linga in the main sanctum. It is the most typical temple with detailed and intricate craftsmanship on the stone walls.

Your next stop will be at Chaunsath Yogini Temple. Believed to have its formation in 900 AD, this Kali temple is the earliest temple amongst all in the group. This is the only granite temple here.

Followed with your visit to Chitragupta Temple. Facing towards the east or the rising sun, this temple is dedicated to Lord Sun (Surya Dev). It has a 5 feet high image of Lord Surya with the horse-drawn chariot in the inner sanctum of the temple.

Later you will stop at Vishwanath Temple. Most of the dances, during the Khajuraho Dance Festival, are performed in front of this very temple. Vishwanath Temple has a very spectacular entrance with large stones taking care of the northern steps and royal elephants guarding the southern steps. The temple has a very captivating three-headed idol image of Lord Brahma inside the sanctum, which cannot be left out.

Your next stop will be at a pretty Vaishnava, Lakshmana Temple. Its entrance has a very attractive idol picture on the door of the Trinity- Lord Brahma, Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu with his wife Goddess Lakshmi.

The tour follows up with the Matangeshwara Temple, which is situated outside the Western Group of temples. It flaunts the eight-feet high lingam of Lord Shiva enshrined inside the temple premises.

Later follow up with your visit to the Eastern Group of temples. In it, the first stop will be at the Bhagwan Parsvanatha Temple. It is the largest temple of the Eastern group and has intricate stone carvings, which is worth a watch. Amongst which the sculptures on the outer wall of the north side is a must sighting. The temple is enshrined with a throne facing to the emblem of a bull, which represents the first Jain Tirthankara, Adinatha.

Moving ahead in the trip, you will then visit Ghantai Temple, which has colorful murals all over the walls of the temple. These frescos depict the story of 16 dreams of the mother of Lord Mahavira during his birth and also a Jain Goddess mounted on the winged Garuda.

Next, you will visit the Adinatha Temple which is decorated with beautiful, delicate sculptures including the murals of yakshas. You will also visit many other temples of Hindu and Jain religion. Most of which are dedicated to Lord Brahma, Shiva and the Adinatha (first Jain Tirthankara or saint). All these temples have richly ornamented murals, paintings, doorways with beautiful sensual carvings of celestial maidens. It will include temples such as Brahma Temple, enshrined with a four-faced linga, Vamana Temple and the Javari Temple. After the tour, the driver will drop you back at your hotel by the time of lunch.
