All our trips are ocean going trips and are weather and sea conditions dependent. Only the skipper of the vessel can make a judgement call on these conditions which are determined on the day of the charter. Conditions are influenced by tide, wind direction & speed and sea swell, therefore going out through the Knysna Heads is never guaranteed.

Departure takes place adjacent to the Dry Dock restaurant at the Knysna Waterfront. Clients need to check-in at the Springtide kiosk (next to the ice cream kiosk) 30 minutes before departure time.

The Knysna Heads is our only passage to sea, if sea and weather conditions allow we will proceed through the Knysna Heads and out into the Indian Ocean for some ultimate sailing

Once we depart from the Knysna Waterfront we sail through the Knysna Lagoon and make our way towards the Knysna Heads. In the event of poor sea conditions at the Knysna Heads that prevents us from exiting the heads and going out to sea, we will carry on the charter with in the Knysna Lagoon. Typically on every charter the light dinner is served on our way back to the Knysna Waterfront on the Knysna lagoon.
