The "Field of Burnt Rice" (Ladang Beras Terbakar) in Langkawi, Malaysia, holds historical significance dating back to the late 18th century. Legend has it that during a Siamese invasion in 1821, the locals of Langkawi, led by a woman named Mahsuri, sought refuge in this rice field.
