The five marble and limestone mountains themselves are a stunning sight, rising out of the coastal plain near Da Nang. They're named after the five elements: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. Caves and grottoes riddle the mountains, some naturally formed and others carved by human hands over the centuries. These caves contain impressive Buddhist and Hindu shrines, creating a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural significance. Climbing the stairs and paths that wind up the mountains provides not only exercise but also stunning panoramic views of the surrounding coastline and countryside. Adventurous visitors can take advantage of rock climbing opportunities, while others can explore the many caves, grottoes, temples, and pagodas hidden amongst the cliffs. They were once used as a refuge by the Champa people, and later served as a religious center for both Buddhists and Hindus. Visitors can learn more about the history of the mountains by visiting the on-site museum.

The My Son Sanctuary is a fascinating glimpse into the Champa Kingdom, a civilization that thrived in Vietnam for centuries. A local guide, especially one with expertise in Champa history and culture, can bring the ruins to life. They can explain the significance of the architecture, the symbolism behind the carvings, and the rituals that took place here. A local guide can act as a bridge between you and Vietnamese culture. They can help you understand the significance of the My Son Sanctuary in Vietnamese history and culture, and how it's viewed by the local people today. This can give you a much deeper appreciation for the site. While information signs are available in English, a local guide can provide more nuanced explanations and answer any questions you have on the spot. This can be especially helpful if there are sections with limited signage or information.

Malaysia: TeddyVille Museum Entry Ticket
The Teddyville Museum, as the name suggests, is Malaysia’s first and largest collection of Teddy Bears from various nations and eras; as early as the 1900s. From one of the very first batches of teddy bears ever made, to miniature teddies and even human sized ones, there’s a teddy here for everyone. Located in the ground floor of the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang, TeddyVille Museum covers 9000 square feet of fun fluffy furry friends that’ll fascinate the whole family! Not only is it a museum which tells the tales behind the origins of the teddy bear; our displays also showcase and celebrate the rich cultural history of Penang. Visitors will have a completely immersive experience where they get to touch and feel the glorious moment when Sir Francis Light first set foot on the shores of Penang and walk across time all the way to the present day. The TeddyVille Museum was founded under the principles of fun, education and cultural experience.
