After reaching the summit, participants can join the Ohachimeguri Trail, a special walking route that circles around the Mount Fuji crater. Along the trail, you can visit several shrines located at the summit, including the important Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Okumiya and Kusushi Shrine, one of the highest shrines in Japan. Many climbers bring a notebook to collect Mount Fuji commemorative stamps at the summit. During the Ohachimeguri walk, you will also pass small shrine sites and sacred stone monuments dedicated to Mount Fuji worship. The trail offers unique views of the crater and surrounding landscapes, and on clear days you may see the Japanese Alps and the Pacific Ocean in the distance. Along this route, you can also reach Fujisan Kengamine, the highest point of Mount Fuji at 3,776 meters. The Ohachimeguri Trail takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete and is a memorable highlight after reaching the summit of Mount Fuji.
