After meeting up at Nikko station, we will head to Nikko Toshogu Shrine on foot.

Kammangafuchi is a serene and picturesque pathway located in Nikko, Japan, known for its tranquil atmosphere and stunning natural beauty. This scenic area features a beautiful stone walkway lined with hundreds of Jizo statues, which are often dressed in red bibs and hats, symbolizing the spirits of deceased children and travelers. As you stroll along the path, you can enjoy the peaceful ambiance created by the surrounding trees and the gentle sound of flowing water from the adjacent river. Kammangafuchi is especially enchanting during the cherry blossom season in spring and the vibrant foliage in autumn, making it a perfect spot for photography and quiet reflection.

At Nikko Toshogu Shrine, you can immerse yourself in Japan's rich history and spiritual heritage. Begin your visit by paying your respects at this iconic shrine dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, marveling at the beautiful architecture and intricate craftsmanship throughout the grounds. One of the highlights is the famous carving of the Three Wise Monkeys, embodying the proverb "See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil," a symbol of wisdom and moral conduct. As you explore further, you’ll come across Yomeimon Gate, an awe-inspiring structure adorned with over 500 detailed carvings, often called the "Sunset Gate" due to the amount of time you could spend admiring its beauty.
