Start your day with pickup from your hotel in Johannesburg and set off on your guided tour of Pretoria. Your guide will escort you to some of the city’s highlights in an air-conditioned vehicle. You will begin with a visit to the Union Buildings, the official Seat of the National Government and a South African National Heritage Site. Next, you will visit the Paul Kruger House. Kruger was a resistance leader and key figure in the Transvaal War against the British in 1880-1881. In 1882, at the age of 57, Kruger was elected President of the Transvaal and later took up residence at Kruger House in Pretoria. Your next stop is the Voortrekker Monument, situated in a nature reserve in the Pretoria (Tshwane) area. It commemorates the pioneering spirit of Afrikaners, and is one of the most popular heritage sites in South Africa. On your last stop, you will head to the Cullinan Diamond Mine, where you will enjoy a guided surface tour of the mine.
