Will walk to Tiananmen Square, the political center of China. To the west is the Great Hall of the People, the national power institution where the annual congress is held. To the east is the National Museum, showcasing China 5000 years of history to the world. In the center of the square are the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall and the Monument to the People of Heroes. To the south is the Qianmen Gate Tower, and to the north is the Tiananmen Gate Tower. Passing through Tiananmen Gate and Wumen Gate, we arrive at the Palace Museum, which was built during the Ming Dynasty. The emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties lived and worked here, and the entire complex is magnificent and well-arranged, with distinct functions for each area. The East and West Palaces are especially unique. In the Imperial Garden, ancient trees reach for the sky. Finally, we visit Jingshan Park to view the central axis of Beijing and take in the panoramic view of the Forbidden City, concluding our delightful journey.
