Kushida Shrine: One of Hakata's representative shrines with a history of more than 1,200 years, is a famous power spot in Fukuoka. It's also a great place to see the Hakata Gion Yamakasa, a traditional Hakata festival, decorated with the Yamakasa, a large portable shrine used in the festival. Tochoji Temple: This temple is impressive with its large grounds and a bright red five-story pagoda. Tenjin Underground Shopping Center: This is a huge mall located in the center of Fukuoka. The mall has more than 150 stores and is crowded with residents and tourists. The distinctive atmosphere of this underground mall was created by imitating 19th century Europe, with stone-paved floors, the arabesque pattern on the ceiling, and the low-lighting.

Daimyo: Here is the second most famous street in Fukuoka. This is a street that used to be popular as a castle town. However, it is now a popular place for young people to shop for stylish goods and apparel. Walk into a store that you're interested in and buy some of the cutting edge merchandise as a souvenir.

Ohori Park: One of the features of this park is a large pond, where you can walk along the waterfront. Visit Nakanoshima (an island in the middle of the pond) across the bridge and enjoy a natural view that you won't find in a city!

Fukuoka Castle Ruins: Fukuoka Castle, built in the Edo period, was the largest castle in Kyushu. Some of the buildings on the site are designated as national important cultural properties. In the spring, it is a place of relaxation for the local people with 1,000 cherry trees in full bloom.

Fukuoka City Museum: You can learn about the history of Fukuoka. You can see the "Golden Seal" which is believed that the seal was given to Japan from China in 57 AD. It is an important symbol that tells the origin of the Japanese nation. Take a closer look at the beautiful gold seal and learn a little more about Fukuoka and Japan.

Fukuoka Tower: View the city and sea from the top of Fukuoka Tower. The tower itself is beautifully reflected in the sunshine and can be enjoyed from the ground and the observatory deck. At the sunset, you can enjoy an even more dynamic view as the ending of your day in Fukuoka.
