Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel at 08:30 a.m.. Then, transfer to Zhujiajiao and start the highlight tour. Also known as the ‘Venice of Shanghai,’ Zhujiajiao is the best preserved of the four ancient water towns in the Shanghai area. With a history dating back over 1,700 years, Zhujiajiao is full of lovely canals and waterways, small alleys, picturesque bridges, and ancient buildings, many from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The best way to explore Zhujiajiao is on foot and by boat. We will stroll through 1,700 years of history on a leisurely boat tour of this delightful water town. Then, We will visit landmarks including Kezhi Garden, the Qing-period post office, the City God Temple and Yuanjin Temple. Zhujiajiao post office is the earliest post office in east China, which is the only well-preserved Qing dynasty post office in east China. At noon, we will enjoy local specialty for lunch. After lunch, you will eturn back to Shanghai Downtown and walk along Nanjing Road.

Nanjing Road is considered to be the 'No. 1 commercial street in China', which has been a landmark for this city for a long time. Along its 5.5 kilometers, you will find over 600 shops that on average are visited by some 1.7 million people each day. You can also visit the thinnest building in Ningbo Road is known as Paper Building(纸片楼). The building was once reported by British Daily Mail, stated as perhaps the world's flattest and thinnest building. Standing diagonally in the front of the the building, it just looks like a piece of paper. The old house had four floors, not all that thin; it takes the shape of triangular polygon. This novel and strange building still has a large number of residents. Then, you will transfer to the Bund and admire the 26 various buildings of different architectural styles along the Bund.

The Bund is a famous waterfront on the west bank of Huangpu River and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai. Here, the charm of Shanghai as a bustling metropolis combining the century-old history and flourishing future is fully presented, making the Bund Shanghai a must-see attraction. You will see the 26 various buildings of different architectural styles at the Bund. Such as Peace Hotel(Heping Fandian), Shanghai Customs House and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. You will appreciate skyscrapers across the Huangpu River. Then, you will transfer to Pudong New Area through the sightseeing tunnel. Bund Sightseeing Tunnel, the first visitor tunnel under Huangpu River in China, connects the Bund and Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone. It just takes 3-5 minutes to travel through the tunnel, passengers can appreciate fascinating visual effects with a variety of sounds accompany them. Driverless carriages are used, and passengers have a wide vista from them. This enables the passengers to feel they are transported an “explorer”.

As a new and bustling district, Pudong offers visitors some of the most modern attractions, businesses, skyscrapers and shopping malls, all featuring the latest in entertainment, technology and fashion. We will walk along Lujiazui Ring Bridge which is good place to photograph skyscrapers.

Once the tallest building in Shanghai, the Oriental Pearl Tower remains one of the most recognizable skyscrapers in Pudong, part of the skyline visible from The Bund. The sci-fi-esque 1,535-foot (468-meter) tower houses observation platforms, a glass-bottomed walkway, rotating restaurant, as well as the Shanghai History Museum in its basement. The Oriental Pearl Tower’s facade is impossible to miss during a Shanghai visit. Then, We will walk into the Oriental Pearl Tower, learn Shanghai’s history in the Municipal History Museum which is located in the tower's pedestal, take an elevator up to glass-bottomed sightseeing floor and see the views from the observation decks.
