This unique tour features two very different sides of Shanghai, both ancient and ultra modern. You'll first enjoy a short trip just 1-hour outside of Shanghai to the charm of Zhujiajiao ancient water town. You'll explore ancient bridges like Fangsheng Bridge, stroll Qing dynasty streets and enjoy Qing dynasty architecture while diving into local shops. You'll also visit the unique Qing Dynasty Post Office, rural authentic Yuanjin Buddhist Temple and sample local snacks such as sticky rice dumplings (zong zi) and steamed pork in bamboo leaves (zha rou) and traditional Chinese candies. This tour also includes a relaxing site-filled gondola ride. You'll then return to Shanghai to visit three modern sites, including an amazing view from the observation deck of Shanghai Tower, the worlds largest Starbucks, a symbol of modern China with its sprawling layout and coffee making experience. Lastly, you'll ride the Maglev a 400kph train and learn more about this innovation at the Maglev museum.
