The National Park of Thingvellir is of interest both historically and naturally. Historically because this is where was founded the first parliament of Europe in 930. Naturally because this is where you can see the edge of the North American Tectonic plate and the divide between this plate and its counterpart: The Eurasian Tectonic Plate. The English word "Geyser", actually originates in Iceland, with a geyser that is named "Geysir". Although, this geyser called Geysir, is now dormant and no longer erupting. Its little brother though, named Strokkur, is very active and erupting every 5 to 10 minutes. This is also where we will have the opportunity to grab lunch and refreshments.

Probably the most famous waterfall of Iceland, Gullfoss is 30 meters high, divided in two drops of respectively 10 and 20 meters. Its name translates to "The Gold Waterfall", and several legends and stories try to give this name an explanation. Which one is true ? It is up to you to decide!
