Quitsato “Solar Museum” – Middle of the World Experience Located directly on the equatorial line, the Quitsato Solar Museum offers a unique opportunity to stand with one foot in each hemisphere. This interactive site combines science and culture, with demonstrations of gravity and solar alignment, as well as insights into the astronomy and traditions of pre-Columbian Andean civilizations. The Peguche Waterfall is an impressive waterfall located in the province of Imbabura, near the city of Otavalo. This waterfall, with a drop of approximately 18 meters, is surrounded by lush vegetation, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers and eco-tourism enthusiasts. In addition to its natural beauty, the waterfall holds cultural significance for the indigenous communities in the area, who consider it a sacred site. Visitors can enjoy a walk along the trails leading to the waterfall, surrounded by local flora and fauna, and explore the surrounding area, where activities such as water baths and traditional rituals are performed.

Cultural experience at a local artisan gallery led by Quechua women from the Otavalo community. Here, you'll have the opportunity to learn how to craft your own dreamcatcher using traditional techniques. This hands-on activity offers a special moment of cultural exchange and connection with the indigenous community.

Plaza de Ponchos – Otavalo’s Artisan Market Located in the heart of Otavalo, the Plaza de Ponchos is one of South America's most famous indigenous markets. It’s the perfect place to explore Ecuadorian culture, meet local artisans, and shop for vibrant handmade textiles, ponchos, scarves, jewelry, and traditional crafts—all set against the stunning backdrop of the Andes.

Continue to Cotacachi – Leather Town in the Andes Located near Otavalo, Cotacachi is a peaceful Andean town known for its high-quality leather goods and stunning mountain scenery. Stroll through cobblestone streets, browse artisan shops, and take in views of the Cotacachi volcano. A perfect blend of indigenous culture and colonial charm.

After breakfast, we begin our day with visit the Cuicocha Lagoon – Volcanic Beauty & Andean Scenery Nestled in the Cotacachi-Cayapas Ecological Reserve, Cuicocha is a breathtaking crater lake formed inside an ancient volcano. Surrounded by lush landscapes and the towering Cotacachi volcano, visitors can hike along panoramic trails, take a boat tour around its volcanic islands, or simply relax and enjoy the serene views. A paradise for nature lovers and bird watchers alike.

We then continue our journey to the Papallacta Hot Springs, one of Ecuador’s most famous thermal spa destinations, nestled high in the Andes at 3,300 meters (10,827 feet) above sea level. These naturally heated pools are fed by geothermal activity from nearby volcanoes, offering therapeutic and relaxing waters in a breathtaking mountain setting. Whether you choose to soak in the mineral-rich waters or take a short hike in the surrounding páramo ecosystem, Papallacta is a serene oasis that combines wellness, nature, and tranquility.

Tena – Gateway to the Amazon Located at the edge of Ecuador’s Amazon Basin, Tena is a lively jungle town and the capital of Napo Province. Surrounded by lush rainforest and rivers, it’s the perfect base for eco-adventures like white-water rafting, jungle hikes, wildlife spotting, and cultural visits to indigenous communities. A must-visit for nature lovers and thrill-seekers.

Misahuallí – Gateway Village to the Amazon Located on the banks of the Napo River near Tena, Misahuallí is a peaceful Amazonian village known for its playful capuchin monkeys and relaxed atmosphere. It’s a popular starting point for jungle treks, river tours, and cultural encounters with indigenous communities. A perfect spot to unwind and connect with nature and local traditions.

Arrival at the Ecolodge Upon arrival at the Amazon ecolodge, the lodge manager will greet you and provide a brief orientation about the facilities, including optional services such as massage therapy and wellness treatments. Take some time to settle in and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the rainforest surroundings.

7:30 PM – Dinner & Jungle Night Walk After dinner, gear up with rubber boots and a flashlight for a fascinating night walk led by a native guide. As darkness falls, the rainforest transforms into a completely different world. Departing from the lodge, your guide will lead you along various trails—some easy, others more adventurous—through dense jungle paths, across muddy terrain, and alongside rivers or small lakes. This is a unique opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of the Amazon after sunset. Keep an eye out for nocturnal wildlife such as frogs, insects, night monkeys, reptiles, and other creatures that become active under the cover of night. After the walk, return to the lodge and enjoy a well-deserved rest, surrounded by the calming sounds of the jungle.

Amazoonico Wildlife Rescue Center After breakfast, visit Amazoonico, a wildlife rescue center deep in the Amazon dedicated to protecting animals affected by trafficking and deforestation. Home to monkeys, toucans, ocelots, and more, this sanctuary offers a close-up look at rescued species and the vital conservation work behind their care. Guided by volunteers, your visit supports efforts to preserve the Amazon’s incredible biodiversity.

Anaconda Island Guided Walk After enjoying a delicious box lunch, embark on a guided walk through Anaconda Island—a paradise for bird watchers and nature photographers. Wander through this vibrant ecosystem while spotting caimans lounging by the lagoon, the unique and prehistoric Hoatzin bird, playful woolly monkeys, curious squirrel monkeys, and many more fascinating species. This immersive walk offers a rare chance to experience the Amazon’s rich biodiversity up close in its natural habitat.

Cultural Visit to an Indigenous Community Visit a local indigenous family to experience their traditional way of life firsthand. During this cultural exchange, learn about their sustainable farming, medicinal plants, and ancestral hunting techniques using blowguns and handcrafted traps. This respectful encounter offers deep insight into Amazonian traditions passed down through generations.

Afterwards, we travel to the nearby town of Ahuano on the Napo River, where a local family demonstrates traditional ceramic-making. This is a perfect opportunity to purchase authentic souvenirs and support rainforest artisans.

Return to the lodge to rest. After dinner, your guide will provide a detailed briefing for the upcoming days of your Andes journey.

Embark on a journey from the jungle in Napo Province to Baños de Agua Santa in Tungurahua Province, where the stunning Ecuadorian landscapes will captivate you. Our tour begins with a traditional balsa raft ride in the city of Puyo, located in Pastaza Province.

The viewpoint offers a panoramic view of the Amazon rainforest, the Pastaza River, and the Andes. From there, you can see the Cotopaxi Volcano, Tungurahua Volcano, and Sangay Volcano. Mirador Mira Mera is an ideal place to enjoy nature and take stunning photographs. It is a must-visit for tourists exploring the Amazon region of Ecuador.

Is one of Ecuador's most famous and breathtaking waterfalls, located near the town of Baños in the Tungurahua province. The name, which translates to "Devil's Cauldron," refers to the powerful and dramatic force of the waterfall, which cascades down from a height of approximately 80 meters (262 feet) into a deep, rocky gorge below. The sight and sound of the water crashing into the river below create an awe-inspiring experience for visitors.

Our next stop is the stunning "Manto de la Novia" waterfall. The cable car will take us over the breathtaking Pastaza River canyon, offering a closer view of the waterfalls.

The Hand of Pachamama is the newest attraction at this stunning viewpoint, where a giant hand rises from the earth, offering tourists a unique spot to take in the breathtaking landscape of Tungurahua province and capture spectacular photos.

We will ascend to the "Swing at the End of the World" at La Casa del Árbol, where you'll have an incredible view of the majestic Tungurahua volcano.

Baños de Agua Santa, often simply referred to as Baños, is a charming town located in the Tungurahua Province of Ecuador. Nestled in the Andean mountains, this picturesque destination is renowned for its natural beauty, thermal hot springs, and adventure activities. The town's name, which translates to "Baths of Sacred Water," comes from the healing thermal waters that have been used for centuries by locals and visitors seeking relaxation and therapeutic benefits.

After breakfast, we continue our journey to Quilotoa. Along the way, our first stop will be at the Pujilí fruit market, where you can experience the vibrant local culture and sample fresh, exotic fruits.

This impressive canyon is carved by the Toachi River and offers some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the country. The canyon features towering cliffs, lush greenery, and crystal-clear waters, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers.

Upon arriving at Quilotoa (12,795 feet above sea level), located in the Illinizas Ecological Reserve, we will enjoy a panoramic view of the turquoise lagoon, surrounded by stunning views of the Andes and indigenous communities that preserve their traditions.

We enter Cotopaxi National Park, where we register and gain access to the protected area. Our first stop is the Mariscal Sucre Interpretation Center, which features an exhibition of photographs and information about the park's ecosystem and conservation efforts. Next, we enjoy a panoramic view of the Limpiopungo Lagoon, a scenic spot where we can observe various bird species, native plants, and the nearby volcanoes—Pasachoa, Quilindaña, Rumiñahui, among others.

Finally, we enjoy a guided horseback ride across the páramo, passing close to herds of wild horses and fighting bulls. Along the way, we can spot various species of high-altitude birds—Condors are frequently seen—and admire the native flora, all set against a backdrop of spectacular Andean scenery. The ride takes us up to 4,200 meters (13,780 feet) and lasts approximately two hours. After experiencing the raw freedom of nature and the thrill of galloping through the pure mountain air, we follow exclusive trails within our Hacienda. These paths lead us through majestic páramos and native forests of the Cotopaxi region, where our local guides share captivating stories—intertwining legends, history, and ancestral traditions.

We travel to Machachi, a city nestled in the heart of the Andes, surrounded by majestic volcanoes: Atacazo, Corazón, Rumiñahui, the Illinizas peaks, Viudita Hill, Pasochoa, and Sincholagua.
