Vik is approx. 30min away from Skogafoss and since this is the last stop the drive back home will take 2.5 hours

This is the last stop of the itinerary before heading back to capital. This is another popular spot and usually crowded at peak hours so it's best to plan the stop wisely. Travelers will see magnificent basalt columns. At low tide, they can head to the cave that faces the ocean. The beach is powerful and dangerous so it's best to keep a safe distance. The black sand is naturally made of powdered lava.
