The South Gate of Angkor Thom, a majestic entrance to the ancient city, is renowned for its grand causeway flanked by 54 stone statues depicting gods and demons. The iconic gate features a towering face of Avalokiteshvara, symbolizing compassion, and intricate carvings showcasing Khmer artistry.
