Houses were later repainted with bright colors by their new owners as an expression of freedom! Maiden's Cove is a beautiful scenic lookout point nestled between Clifton’s Beaches and Glen Beach. It is well known for its exquisite views of the Twelve Apostles and Table Mountain, as well as its fabulous views of the Atlantic Ocean and Camps Bay beach. The Cove is also notorious for its braai/barbecue areas. Maiden’s Cove has a lush grassy area, massive boulders, perfect for a braai, picnic or sunset watching. Dolphins can often be spotted frolicking in the water. It is occasionally a fantastic spot for whale watching (June-November). Inhale the fresh sea breeze of the Atlantic Ocean and capture a few memorable photographs of this idyllic spot.

Duiker Island is a leading tourist attraction in Hout Bay, South-West of the city of Cape Town. This craggy expanse of granite rocks is home to thousands of Cape Fur seals, seafaring birds and mammals. It is a favorite destination of local photographers and enthusiasts birdwatchers delight in more than 20 species of seabirds that live there. Duiker Island is favorable breeding spot for these incredible seals. Humpback whales and common dolphins have also been spotted in these waters.
