Tarquinia was the most important Etruscan city in the seventh century BC.C. and is famous above all for the Monterozzi Necropolis, which under its green mounds houses over two hundred painted tombs from the pre-Roman era. Let yourself be guided to discover the secrets of the most beautiful and fascinating tombs: the Leopard tomb, with its banquet scenes showing the incredible freedom of Etruscan women, the Hunting and Fishing tomb, showing the favorite pastimes of the aristocracy of the time, the Warrior’s tomb, where the games present in the funeral rites are represented (including dances, fights between boxers and fights that inspired gladiator games).
