The main shrine, built in the early Edo period, is designated as a national important cultural property. The shrine pavilions are dignified, stately, and magnificent. The precincts of the shrine are spacious, and include Otome Inari Shrine with its bright red torii gate and various historical sites related to Mori Ogai. The shrine is also famous for its azalea blossoms and colorful flowers and trees.

The Tsukiji moat is a nationally designated tangible cultural property. Tsukiji-bori is a clay wall. Generally, it is found in temples and residences of high rank. The museum is the renovated studio and residence of Fumio Asakura, the first sculptor to be awarded the Order of Cultural Merit. The building is a combination of the atelier portion of a reinforced concrete Western-style building and the residence portion of a wooden sukiya-style building.
