Step into the legendary land of charming Transylvania! The tour takes 2 full days (departure from Bucharest) and includes visits to the major medieval fortifications in the area of Transylvania: Brasov medieval city, Rasnov – a splendid fortified citadel from XV century and Sighisoara - one of the most beautiful, best-preserved and still inhabited medieval citadels in Europe. An optional visit would be Peles Castle in Sinaia. In the second day you will discover Rupea citadel - which is one of the oldest and best-conserved medieval sites in Romania, archaeological excavations showing the first signs of human settlements are dating from the Paleolithic and early Neolithic and Prejmer fortress - the largest fortified church in southeastern Europe. An optional visit would be Dracula Castle in Bran Our guide will present you the history of medieval defense structures, how people used to defeat the enemies and how this ended up being part of our Romanian culture.
