Your day starts with pickup in central Ljubljana. On the roughly 1-hour drive, your guide introduces the Karst, the limestone region that gave its name to karst landscapes worldwide, and the cave you are about to walk through. Then a 2-hour guided tour of the Škocjan Caves: an underground canyon carved by the Reka river, a footbridge set almost 50 metres above the water, halls large enough to hold a cathedral.
